This Law was born with the purpose of promoting the action of the General Administration of the State in the structuring and cohesion of the university system, of deepening the powers of the Autonomous Communities in matters of higher education, of increasing the degree of autonomy of the Universities, and to establish the necessary channels to strengthen the relationships and reciprocal links between the University and society.
