Scope of action: Communication

Description of the performance / Activity:

The DaVOZ project is an application developed at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This project aims to create a system of automatic interpretation of sign language to the voice signal, to break communication barriers and facilitate the labor and social integration of the deaf-mute group. It is proposed to use a volumetric sensor and artificial intelligence to identify sign language and transform it into synthesized voice. In this way, this group can be given a voice and facilitate said integration. The proposal is totally new due to the technological solution applied and the fact that the technological components are low cost. It should be noted that the final device will be very easy to use and portable.
