This book is a compilation of the collaboration of various authors in which the situation and trends of sports for people with disabilities in Spain are analyzed, addressing aspects such as the legislation and regulations in force on the matter or the existing statistical data, highlighting the main problems of sports for people with disabilities (accessibility of facilities, expensive sports materials, lack of teacher training, financing of activities, etc.) and taking into account all levels: grassroots sport, technical development and high competition. Finally, a series of recommendations for the future are provided, which may be reflected legislatively.
