“In module II, recommendations are presented according to the Design for All specifications, based on the most current international standard, including ISO FDIS 21542, referring to the construction of buildings with respect to the accessibility and usability of the built environment. These Recommendations constitute the basis for creating accessible tourist destinations and place special emphasis on the value chain of accessibility in tourism from five main points: planning and information, transportation, accessibility to the environment, accessibility to common spaces and accessibility to specific spaces. “Each of these sections responds to the accessibility needs of different tourist environments, from hotels, information offices or sports spaces to natural environments, beaches and transportation, among others.”
