Description of the performance / Activity:
The general directorates of Accessibility and Centers and that of Vocational Training and Training for Employment of the Government of Extremadura have launched a pilot project of sensory accessibility workshops ‘Technical aids and communication support products’, aimed at students of Professional Training, of the Image and Sound and Communicative Mediation families, at the IES Extremadura and Santa Eulalia, in Mérida.
This training action, taught, brings students from these professional families closer to the most important aspects of accessibility and its philosophy through practical examples. In addition to the General Directorate of Accessibility and Centers, the Extremadura Sensory Accessibility Office (OAS) managed by FEDAPAS and the Sign Language Service (SILS) by FEXAS have participated in it, with the participation of the Mérida volunteer platform.
The objective is to show how from any area, and with a minimum of training and awareness, each person can promote social inclusion through universal accessibility, in all areas of life, professionally, politically, economically. , cultural and social in order to bet on equal opportunities.
