Under this project, this manual has been developed whose objective is to train people with intellectual disabilities on media literacy and also on how to adapt news to easy reading.
The first section aims to address media illiteracy, especially in the group of people with intellectual disabilities.
The use of new technologies and non-formal and digital information channels such as social networks is widespread throughout the population, including the group of people with intellectual disabilities, and it is necessary to provide them with the necessary tools to be able to identify sources of information. reliable, that contrast the data and generate quality information. All these tools are available in this first section. Along these same lines, the second section aims to promote easy reading as a means of providing written information to all people, regardless of their reading-writing ability. This part of the manual includes the most important requirements and conditions for adapting texts and, therefore, written information, to an easy-to-read format.
