Summary:
This work addresses ethical considerations in relation to the use of ICT to support and improve the personal autonomy of people with disabilities and dependent people. Although ethical considerations regarding the use of technologies are common for both groups, it is in the case of dependent people where the risk of violation of their rights is accentuated. The ethical use of ICT is distinguished from both its technical and pedagogical use, and is specifically characterized by being democratic, relevant and pertinent, as discussed in this book. It reflects on the current situation, describes various initiatives and offers the opinions of various experts. It is completed with relevant documents and bibliography on the subject.
