Title of the course/workshop: Employment and Tourism Congress. Diversity, technology and sustainability for employment

Target audience: The Congress is aimed at all professionals in the tourism sector, including restaurants, hospitality, transportation, leisure, etc. And, in general, to all those interested in the trends and challenges facing the employment of people with disabilities in the tourism sector today.

Main theme: Tourism generated almost 3 million jobs in Spain in 2023 and is responsible for 14.6% of GDP. The sector is transforming to respond to the challenges of the 21st century: inclusion, sustainability and digitalization. The Employment, Sustainability and Tourism Congress is promoted by Inserta Empleo, the labor intermediation entity of Fundación ONCE, within the framework of its alliance with the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), which involves the management of six projects for labor inclusion of people with disabilities until 2029. Specifically, this initiative is part of the InclUEmpleoAtlántida project, which seeks to promote the socio-labor inclusion of people with disabilities residing in the Canary Islands, acting on the factors that negatively impact their access to training and employment.
